Why Testify?

Why do we testify? What does Testify even mean?

To testify means to declare to others what God has done for you. As John 1:7 says concerning John the Baptist, “He came as a witness, to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.” Likewise, Acts 10:42 states, “He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to judge the living and the dead.”

This calling is further affirmed in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” To fulfill the Great Commission, we as believers must go into the world testifying on behalf of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. That is why we must testify, so that all may hear, “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,” as Revelation 7:9 declares.

Here at Testify, our ultimate goal is to spread the good news of the Gospel. We invite you to join us here at Testify as we work together to share the Gospel with all who are willing to hear.

2 Timothy 1:8 - Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.
